Submitting the Abstract

To submit your abstracts, start by creating an account on the OpenReview website. Ensure that the submitting or presenting author has an active profile. If you are using a non-institutional email service or if your institution is not supported, please be aware that account activation may take up to 2 weeks, so it’s essential to create your free account as soon as possible. Once your account is set up, you can submit your abstracts through the OpenReview submission portal. Additionally, note that abstract processing and handling fees must be paid separately for more detailed submission instructions on processing fees see this.  Alternatively, this tool can be used to prepare the submission, pay the fees and submit. 

submission criteria

​Abstracts can be submitted to one of the following four categories (based on the education and career stage of the presenting author):

  1. High school student (All trainees who are currently a high school student or within 3 years of passing out/gap year)

  2. Undergraduate students (All trainees currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or within 3 years of graduating/gap year)

  3. Graduate students (e.g. Master’s, PhD, MD, MBA, etc.) and/or recent college graduates (within 5 years of graduation), Postdoctoral scholars and, medical residents.

  4. Professionals (all researchers after post-doctoral fellowship, working professionals such as research scientists, doctors, etc.)

Abstract Submission Categories

Preparing your submissions

The submission portal requires the following information. 

  1. Ticket number (can be found on the ticket PDF sent via email after paying the submission fees.)

  2. List of all authors, emails and respective affiliations

  3. Suitable title of the submission written in English (in 150 characters or less).

  4. Abstract content is written in English (in 4,000 characters or less). Please do not include citations, references, figures, or tables.

  5. Disclosure of conflict of interests for all the authors.

  6. Selection of theme, submission category, and preference for presentation

  7. All text should be entered directly into the submission portal, as documents cannot be uploaded. Please copy-paste from a text editor (e.g. Notepad) to avoid formatting issues. You can use TeX to format your formulae in the abstract.

  8. Please see that you report all biologicals including human research and animal research in accordance with the relevant institutional review board or animal ethics and use committee policies.

Submission and Payments

In order to submit your abstract, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Gather all the necessary information required by the submission portal. Refer to the "Preparing Your Submissions" section for guidance.

  2. Pay the abstract handling fees based on the category of the presenting author. See the "Processing Fee" section for more information.

  3. Submit your abstract on the OpenReview Submission Portal.

 

Note: If you plan to apply for the Emerging Scholar Advancement Awards, please wait before submitting your abstracts. Once you have submitted a payment, we cannot reimburse the amount.

Please note that copy-pasting text directly from ChatGPT, Gemini, or other artificial intelligence-based platforms into your application is NOT permitted. You are welcome to use online grammar editors and proofreading programs such as Grammarly, but please do not copy an AI output verbatim. Failing to adhere to this policy will result in automatic rejection.
